Shelly Gray Media Director

Shelly has led the local media practice at CSBi since joining the agency in 2019 2002 and has nearly 30 years of experience in local and regional media planning and buying.

Shelly is well-known and respected in the top US regional markets, as well as in the San Diego media community, as a highly cerebral, passionate, client success-focused, consummate media pro. Expertise includes implementing cross-channel, integrated offline/online media campaigns, leading cross-functional teams, and bringing ideas to life through creative problem-solving. Category experience includes financial, healthcare, entertainment, non-profits, and retail.

In her downtime, Shelly enjoys live music, cooking from the heart, traveling abroad, pickleball, wine tasting, and watching her two adult daughters’ flourish.

Meet Gia

Conjurer of digital magic

Gia Cruz Digital Director

Gia leads the agency’s digital strategy, planning, performance marketing, and integrated analytics practice.

Gia’s 16 years of specifically digital experience includes planning and activating literally hundreds of local and national digital media campaigns to both consumer and B2B audiences. Her category expertise is robust, including healthcare, finance, e-commerce, and national sports brands (TaylorMade Golf, Maxfli and Cobra Golf), to name a few.

Gia began her career with Starcom/Leo Burnett Chicago, adding a strong foundation rooted in both offline/online strategy and integration. Prior to joining CSBi in 2011, Gia held senior media director-level positions at San Diego full-service agencies, Vitro, MeringCarson, and NYCA

Gia is quite the avid and knowledgeable sports Mom (and fan!), enthusiastically supporting her kids' youth and high school sports participation is just one of her many passions.

Meet Austin

Austin Gilman Digital Strategy/Analytics Director

Austin’s primary role at CSBi includes leading integrated and digital strategy development, performance marketing, and integrated analytics.

After graduating from Indiana University with a B.A. degree in Communication Studies, Austin began his digital immersion when he was selected to join a specialized digital team for Gannett, where he spent 8 years honing his skills in programmatic display, paid search, social media, and SEO. During this time, he led digital strategy development for Purdue University, Indiana University, Butler University, and the Indiana Pacers. Later, he worked in digital marketing roles for iHeartMedia, and marketing consultancy, Element Three, prior to joining CSBi in 2017.

In his free time, Austin enjoys hiking, playing golf, and cheering for the Indiana Pacers and Hoosiers.

Meet Chris

Doughnut aficionado

Chris Cerasoli Research/Creative Services Director

In addition to his role in client account management, Chris leads the agency’s media and marketing research activities in support of client media campaigns.

Prior to joining our team, Chris headed his own graphic design firm that supported a wide array of clients. He brings his passion and talent for great design to his roles here, and spearheads any design work that comes our way within the scope of client needs. We call him our Swiss Army Knife as a nod to the great job he does across his multiple left brain/right brain roles for our clients.

Away from the office, you can find Chris anywhere outdoors...from a golf course to a trailhead, his faith and his family come first, and it’s rumored that he once helped find Brad Pitt’s pet pig.

A slave to pickleball

John Wilson III Managing Director

As Managing Director, John leads CSBi’s business growth practice and maintains a senior management role with key clients.

A 40+ year resident of San Diego, John began his career in local broadcast sales/management at KBZT-FM and KFMB-TV (CBS). John then moved to the agency side of the business, spending the next 20 years with top-tier national media planning/buying agencies, TBS Media Management, Mediaedge:cia, and MBMG, focused primarily on West Coast/Southern California business development and client services. Category expertise includes fast-casual restaurants, higher education, CA Government marketing, franchised marketing, and media services collaboration with independent creative agencies.

A knowledgeable and passionate supporter of San Diego State Athletics, John’s passions also include running, biking, pickleball, music, cooking, reading, and trying to keep up with his 12-year-old daughter.

Kristi Cerasoli Controller

Kristi has been a leader on the CSBi team since the agency’s launch in 2003.

Multi-talented, Kristi wears many hats. In addition to managing the finance side of the agency, she also supervises the work for several key clients, is our internal IT guru, HR lead, and is our “agency mom”!

Kristi is also Executive Director of Chairmen’s RoundTable, a San Diego non-profit devoted to pro-bono mentoring of local companies; and Kristi loves dedicating her personal time to fostering kiddos (24 and counting).

Bob Bolinger Account Director, Partner

Bob serves as a management liaison to several key CSBi clients and is a valuable contributor to business growth.

Bob is an “Advertising Pro”, having spent 35+ years managing Broadcast Radio/Digital Groups including Clear Channel, CBS & Entercom. His extensive media experience includes retail marketing, branding, promotion, and event marketing. One of his many causes is supporting San Diego Non-Profits and Bob presently holds concurrent Board of Director positions with Make A Wish Foundation, Sharp Healthcare, Jacobs Cushman-San Diego Food Bank, YMCA of San Diego County, and the Holiday Bowl.

Bob is a Duke University alum and a deep devotee to Duke Athletics, another of his many passions.

Bob Cerasoli Managing Partner

Bob is the Chief Executive of CSBi, having launched the agency in 2003. Bob is a hands-on leader with an active role in marketing, media strategy, and client relations.

A long-time San Diegan with deep ties to the community, Bob’s passion for advertising, marketing, and influencing consumer behavior has led to a storied four-decade career. Bob’s career began client-side, initially with Procter and Gamble, followed by a five-year stint at Southland Corporation/7-Eleven, where he led regional advertising, promotions, and product management. He spent the next 16 years building San Diego-based, full-service agency, Franklin & Associates into regional dominance and national creative acclaim.

Bob’s passions begin with anything to do with dogs and include writing, music, food, golf, and continuing to ride the exciting wave of change in the world of media.
